Great graphics but not so well written storyline.
Mike
from Calgary, Alberta, July 2, 2007
The screenshots look great & the sound is great, the interface was pretty good. I wasn't too impressed with the story tho. It seemed like I was playing the deleted scenes from several different games - unconnected scenarios, seemingly irrelevent to the main quest. It is one of the better games for a good PDA tho, based on the style of game it is. I like RPG's. This is only a beginning portion of the total game I think, I have heard there will be one or two sequels... I will get them just to complete the story probably. Still money well spent if you value your PDA. I use an Axim x51v. Fantastic machine.

Looks great, but NOT engaging
A reviewer
from Orange County, CA, May 31, 2007
Visually, the game is fantastic. I loved Myst and Riven for their beautiful worlds, but they had something that this game is missing--a story that engages you and puzzles that are interesting. Puzzles that you could solve with your mind, NOT by just guessing until you hit something.
I played this game for maybe 4 or 5 hours and then became bored with it because more often than not I was just tapping things almost randomly, guessing at what might progress the story, solve the puzzle or move me forward. For example, at one point your stuck on an island, trying to get to another island and all you have is a stick. After god knows how long of randomly tapping at every view point, I suddenly bounced to the next island because I was supposed to VAULT over there with the stick (a stick that could have been only 1' long as far as I could tell.)
I just got bored of guessing...

Fun, but does have issues
R Anderson
from Northwest Arkansas, March 30, 2007
Frustrating at first. Don't feel bad if you go in circles for hours right off the bat.
Pros: Great graphics, music and sound. Interesting enough story line. The developers took into consideration the limited maneuverability of handheld devices and don't require any difficult techniques. Lots of hours of enjoyment.
Cons: The game is not completely stable. At times, other areas of the game would suddenly and randomly display right in the middle of a completely unrelated scene. For example, in one occurrence I was in an arabian courtyard at night being scolded by an overweight guard when suddenly a pharoah-like character inside a distincly egyptian chamber appears and starts speaking. It was very obviously not the intention of the developers for that to occur, because the two scenes were sort of splotched together like the squares you see sometimes with a digital satellite signal. That level of instability begs for a patch in my opinion.
Other minor things: The characters are somewhat corny but I believe that was intentional. The puzzles are too obscure. I don't mean difficult, in fact in many ways they are too easy, its just that it is frequently not very obvious that you need to do something to progress. Maybe they designed it that way to extend gameplay, but it was just frustrating to me. Other times the solutions are so painfully obvious that it left me feeling I had missed something.
Overall its fun and worth the purchase and I would easily give it 5 stars if it weren't for the stability issues. Hopefully they are working on a patch.
