Double Launcher
by Orthanc Software

|
|
| Overview |
|
DoubleLauncher lets you to launch up to four different applications from each PocketPC hardware launch button, including the Record button, by allowing each button to be pressed, pressed and held (like a PocketPC tap-and-hold), double-pressed (like double-clicking a mouse button), or double-pressed and held, launching a different app in each case.
In addition DoubleLauncher allows you to assign the following special functions to a button press of any type: Record (single press only), go to Today Screen, pop Soft Input Panel up and down, power down device, open/close Start Menu, terminate current program, rotate display (PPC 2003 and later only), open document directly, or simulate the press of any arrow or paging key, or ESC or OK.
The demo version of Double Launcher only adds support for assigning extra applications to one button. The registered version fully enables multiple assignments to all the hardware launch buttons.

It is unusual for me to post reviews. Five Stars from me = Blood From a Stone.
However I must heap praise on this excellent software. It does not have the flashy, pretty graphics of some other button re-mappers I have tried (and I have tried several...) BUT it does work flawlessly on my XDA2 (where others did not...).
I feel that I should let other Handango-ers know that this soft really works, as advertised, without multiple resets, without hacking the registry, without giving up in disgust and trying something else.
As far as button re-mappers go, to date, this IS the something else!
