I finally abandoned my Palm Centro for a Blackberry 8330. The only application I was unwilling to totally abandon was this one. I had to go from PalmOS version 4.0 to RIM version 5.0.
I am pleased to report that the conversion (export to .vID and then import with the new desktop application) went seamlessly. Oh, yeah, you always have to delete their sample entries when upgrading. Sigh, probably not a problem for you, but definitely an important step for an old-time customer like me.
The new Blackberry apps definitely meet the Principle of Least Astonishment: all of the data is there, in a form that is compliant with the destination platform.
Best of all, the upgrade was cheap. If you're thinking about abandoning Palm's platform (which was a *hard* choice for me), don't let SplashId be the reason you wait.
Excellent Program

Although it may seem expensive to spend $29.95 to have an application that the BB already covers by default, but its well worth the price. I have had to retype once 175 entries into a BB....never going to happen again. This application syncs the application nicely over bi-directionally, but you wil need to have BB Desktop Manager installed. You can backup the database onto your computer or flash drive. The application is very customizable as well. I'm very happy with this purchase, it definitely makes it easier to store passwords where you need it most, in a secure manner.
Not for MACs

I love SplashID - used it on my Palm for years and years. Purchased it for my BB but didn't pay enough attention to the Min Requirements - Windows BB Desktop. I can synch my BB with my MAC through a workaround software but can't download SplashID for BB on my MAC. Bummer. Can use on my device though and it is VERY handy!
