See how you can save:
§ Example 1: Call from UK Vodafone phone to PC with Skype.
Letīs say Mary is on IM+ for Skype, lives in UK and her carrier is Vodafone. Mary wants to call her friend who has Skype on her PC. SkypeOut rate will be equal to destination rate for calling to UK Vodafone of 0.205 Euro per minute plus the connection fee rate (0.039 Euro).
§ Example 2: Call from UK Vodafone phone to landline in USA.
Letīs say Mary is on IM+ for Skype, lives in UK and her carrier is Vodafone. Mary wants to call her college friend who lives in USA, Florida to her phone number. To calculate the SkypeOut rate, just add the destination rate for calling to to UK Vodafone (0.205 Euro) and the destination rate to call to USA (0.017 Euro). So the rate to call from USA to UK via IM+ is 0.222 Euro per minute plus the double connection fee rate (0.078 Euro).
You can save even more by using ANY landline number instead of mobile!
SkypeOut tariffs to landlines and mobiles are different and in most cases calling to mobile is much more expensive than calling to landlines. You can enter any landline number (it can be the phone number of a friend you came to visit, or even a phone number of a local restaurant) in the Call Back field in IM+ and the call will be forwarded to the number you indicate.
§ Example 3: Call from UK Vodafone phone to landline in USA with Call Back to landline.
Letīs say Mary is on IM+ for Skype, lives in UK and her carrier is Vodafone. Mary wants to call her college friend who lives in USA, Florida to her phone number. To make the most economy call Mary enters the landline UK number of her Mother in the Call Back field. Now the rate will include the destination rate for calling to to UK landline (0.017 Euro) and the destination rate to call to USA (0.017 Euro). So the rate to call from USA to UK via IM+ Skype is 0.034 Euro per minute plus the double connection fee rate ( 0.078 Euro).

Very Disappointed
A reviewer
from Charlotte, NC, November 8, 2007
I had two main problems wtih this software: 1) making a call with the software was very difficult. In a total of 9 attempts, I was only to successfully place 2 calls.
I had good coverage from a cell/data package prospective; however, the software needed to re-establish the connection, once while I was waiting for a call to connect and during a call. Many times I had to wait 3 - 4 minutes for the call to process.
2) Using this as a option for international costs seems to me to be a very costly option. I only funded my Skype Out account out with $10 to try this software. After 9 attempts, only 2 calls were successful. One call was cut off before I could leave a messsage on the answering machine - and the other successful call allowed me to leave a 30 second message. When I checked my Skype account balance the next morning, after my 9 calls and one 30 second message, I had only $0.17 remaining. That was aobut $1USD per ATTEMPT. Also, be aware using the software on the mobile phone is different from desktop/laptop based Skype - this software will charge you for IMs to other Skype accounts.
The one time the software worked it was pretty cool, but a majority of my experience was with it was not so, and having to pay $9.83 to leave a 30 second message seems a littel high. As a point of reference the calling card I normally use would have allowed me for $10.00 to talk for 256 minutes that's 4.5 hours, vice the 30 seconds with this product - I know its' a no-brainer.
