If you're used to editing using MS Word on PC, then you will be sorely disappointed with this mobile version. (Am using "Word to Go" that came bundled with my Motorola Q 9H from AT&T.)
There is no easy way to highlight text without first switching to "selection mode" then back again to start typing.
It really should allow you to highlight text by holding the shift key and using the cursor up/down/left/right to highlight text.
This really slows you down to have to switch to this mode.
Even Notepad in Windows works better than this mobile version of Word.
Also, the Excel versions formatting is sorely lacking. Even the most simple spreadsheets show text from one cell over in another cell not lining up correctly.
And forget any color highlighting in cells.
Cool with it all except the powerpoint part....

I easily transfer MSword, MSexcel, and Adobe .PDF files to my smartphone (Motorola Q) to look up data in them or even edit them. Works well, good subset of edit features, readable screens. I took notes in one meeting in the Word editor - not bad at all!
